Nano THC vs. Nano Curcumin: Think They’re the same for pimple-prone skin? Not Quite.

If you’re looking for skincare for pimple-prone skin, especially products that have plant-based ingredients, you may have come across turmeric-derived ingredients like Nano Curcumin and Nano THC.

They’re related, but they’re not the same ingredient. So, what actually sets them apart? And why does Decumar use them in different pimple-care formulas?

Let’s break it down.

The Curcumin Difference: Nano Curcumin & Nano THC

Nano Curcumin vs Nano THC

Nano Curcumin

  • Curcumin from turmeric
  • Nano-formulated delivery system
  • Naturally yellow
  • Featured in Decumar Advanced

Nano THC

  • Nano Tetrahydrocurcumin
  • A reduced derivative of curcumin
  • Different chemical structure and properties
  • Naturally much lighter in color

Why do we use different turmeric-derived ingredients?

At Decumar, Nano Curcumin and Nano THC aren’t simply two versions of the same ingredient.

Both trace back to curcumin, but they aren’t interchangeable. Their chemical structures differ, and that affects how each one fits into a formula.

That’s why Decumar uses Nano Curcumin in Decumar Advanced and Nano THC in Decumar THC, instead of one turmeric-derived ingredient across every gel.

We also don’t treat any single ingredient as the hero. Each gel is a complete combination, and the role of each ingredient depends on the full formula

Same family, Different formula

Nano Curcumin is nano-formulated curcumin. Nano THC is nano-formulated tetrahydrocurcumin, a reduced derivative that’s colorless. They’re related, but not interchangeable, so Decumar uses Nano Curcumin in Decumar Advanced and Nano THC in Decumar THC.

Knowing the ingredient helps. The complete formula, the other ingredients, texture, and look is what you’re really choosing.
